Insta360 has launched a new wireless microphone featuring a customizable color E-Ink display, expandable storage and AI-powered noise cancellation. The device offers several features from the company’s premium Mic Pro at a lower price.
Called the Insta360 Mic, the new system sits between the entry-level Mic Air and the flagship Mic Pro. It is designed for content creators recording videos, interviews, podcasts and other productions using smartphones or cameras.
Each microphone transmitter features a 1.22-inch E-Ink screen that can display custom images or logos. The device also includes a microSD card slot for recording audio directly onto a memory card, providing a backup if the wireless recording is interrupted.
With a memory card installed, the microphone supports 32-bit float recording, which gives users greater flexibility to adjust audio levels during editing. Without a card, audio can still be transmitted wirelessly, but internal backup recording is unavailable.
The system includes AI-powered noise cancellation and automatic volume adjustments intended to reduce unwanted background sounds and maintain consistent voice levels. According to Insta360, each transmitter offers up to 13 hours of battery life, extending to 34 hours with the charging case.
A single receiver supports up to four microphones simultaneously, including compatible Mic Pro transmitters. The device can also connect directly to selected Insta360 cameras through Bluetooth or work with other cameras and smartphones using its receiver.
However, the new model uses a single omnidirectional microphone instead of the Mic Pro’s three-microphone array, removing the flagship model’s selectable sound pickup patterns. It also replaces built-in storage with removable memory cards.
The Insta360 Mic is available globally starting October 22, 2026. The two-transmitter package costs $249.99, compared with $329.99 for the equivalent Mic Pro kit. A single-transmitter kit costs $139.99.
