Google announced the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold at its Made by Google event on Aug. 12, alongside the Pixel Watch 5 and a new tracking accessory, the Pixel Tag. Pre-orders opened the same day, according to Google’s announcement on The Keyword.
Pricing starts at $899 for the Pixel 11, $1,099 for the Pixel 11 Pro, $1,299 for the Pixel 11 Pro XL and $1,899 for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Each is $100 above the equivalent Pixel 10 model. All configurations now start at 256GB, with the 128GB tier discontinued.
The phones and the Pixel Watch 5, priced at $399, reach the Google Store and retail partners on Aug. 20. The Pixel Tag ships Nov. 11.
The camera bar on the Pixel 11 is 40% thinner than earlier base-model Pixels. Google describes the phone as virtually bumpless when paired with a Made by Google case. All three slab models use edge-to-edge glass across the camera bar.
The Pixel 11 pairs an Actua display with a satin metal frame and polished glass back, rated IP68, in Pistachio, Hibiscus, Frost and Obsidian.
The Pro models use a Super Actua display reaching up to 3,600 nits peak brightness, measured at 5% on-pixel ratio, with a new anti-scratch coating Google says more than doubles scratch resistance relative to the Pixel 10 Pro. Colours are Canyon, Fog, Olive and a matte Obsidian.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold has an 8-inch inner display, is approximately 10% lighter and 1mm thinner than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and uses a redesigned hinge Google says it validated across more than 80 million open-close cycles. Google states the device is three times stronger than its predecessor based on internal testing with pre-production units.
Fast Charging
All models include Pixelsnap. Qi 2.2 25W compatibility is new to the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro. Google states the Pixel 11 Pro XL reaches 15 hours of battery life from 15 minutes of wired charging, measured using Google’s 45W USB-C charger.
HiLight
The Pixel 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL and 11 Pro Fold include HiLight, an array of coloured LEDs positioned around the camera flash that provides notifications while the phone is face down.
When a user prompts Gemini, the array glows in distinct patterns indicating whether the assistant is listening, thinking or responding. Users can assign custom colours to specific contacts for incoming calls. Google states that message notifications from selected contacts will be added over time.
Camera specs
The Pixel 11 uses a new, larger 48-megapixel main sensor that Google says delivers 56% more light sensitivity than the Pixel 10. Its 5x telephoto lens supports 30x Super Zoom, processed by Tensor G6.

Portrait Mode is now available at 5x, and Pro Zoom extends to 120x. Google notes that 120x results vary and the mode is not available in all cameras, apps or modes.
Google states that an upgraded image signal processor in Tensor G6, combined with revised software, allows Night Sight to capture up to four and a half times faster than on the Pixel 10, Pixel 9 and Pixel 8 series.
Google’s performance figures for Tensor G6, all measured against Tensor G5 at launch:
- 25% faster web browsing
- 15% quicker app launches
- 50% more TPU compute
- On-device AI tasks up to 3.5 times faster, using up to 3.5 times less energy
The chip runs the latest Gemini Nano model.
US models of the Pixel 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL are eSIM-only, continuing the configuration introduced with the Pixel 10 series, while international models retain a physical SIM tray. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold comes with a physical SIM tray in all markets.
Security
Google introduced a new Titan M3 security chip, which it states works with Tensor G6 to bring post-quantum cryptography to secure boot.
Google also cites a commissioned Counterpoint Research report, “Agentic AI Privacy & Security scorecard 2026,” which compared the Pixel 11 Pro against the iPhone 17 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 on out-of-the-box functionality. Google states the report places Pixel’s AI experience ahead of the compared devices on privacy protection.
Software support
All Pixel 11 models include seven years of OS software, security and Pixel Drop updates. The Pro models include six months of Google AI Pro, which provides higher Gemini usage limits, 5TB of cloud storage and Google Health Premium.
Reviews of the Pixel 11 series are expected before retail availability on Aug. 20.
