Apple’s 2026 Releases Include iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro, AirPods 5 and New Apple Watches

Apple has officially announced its fall 2026 lineup, introducing its first foldable iPhone Duo alongside new iPhone 18 Pro models, AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4.

The new devices arrive with Apple’s latest A20 Pro chip, iOS 27 and expanded Apple Intelligence features, along with updates to health and fitness that include a redesigned Health app and new tracking capabilities.

Most of the new devices become available starting September 18, while the iPhone Duo is scheduled to arrive in October.

A New Foldable iPhone

The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable iPhone. It has a 5.4-inch outer display for regular phone use and opens to reveal a larger 7.6-inch inner display.

Apple has adapted iOS 27, the latest version of its iPhone operating system, for the folding design. On the larger screen, users can place apps side by side, open multiple windows and save combinations of apps for later. The design also creates new camera options, such as using the outer display to give someone a preview while their photo is being taken.

The iPhone Duo is powered by the new A20 Pro chip, the latest high-end iPhone processor, along with a dual-battery design. Apple rates the phone for up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display or up to 44 hours using the outer display.

Pricing starts at $1,999 for 256GB of storage. Preorders begin October 16, with availability starting October 23.

The 18 Pro Adds a Variable Aperture Camera

Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max focus on camera, performance and battery updates.

The 48-megapixel main camera now includes a variable aperture, which allows the camera to adjust how much light reaches the sensor. Apple has also added more manual camera controls for settings such as aperture, shutter speed and white balance.

Both phones use the new A20 Pro chip and an updated vapor-chamber cooling system designed to manage heat during demanding tasks. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is rated for up to 45 hours of video playback, while faster wired charging can bring an iPhone 18 Pro to around 50 percent in 15 minutes with a compatible adapter.

The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, while the Pro Max starts at $1,299. Both include 256GB of storage at the base configuration and are available beginning September 18

AirPods 5 Bring Noise Cancellation to the Open-Ear Design

The new AirPods 5 add Active Noise Cancellation while keeping Apple’s open-ear design.

Apple says the updated system can reduce up to 50 percent more outside noise than AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation. Adaptive Audio can automatically adjust noise control depending on the surroundings, while Conversation Awareness lowers media volume when the wearer begins speaking.

AirPods 5 also support features including Live Translation and hands-free access to Siri AI when paired with a compatible iPhone.

AirPods 5 cost $129, while a version with a Wireless Charging Case, longer battery life and stem-based volume controls runs a little higher. It will be available starting September 18.

Apple Watch Series 12 Expands Health Tracking

The Apple Watch Series 12 introduces a new Health Sensing System with updated sensors and Apple’s S11 chip.

Apple says the watch can take background heart-rate measurements as often as every five seconds and heart-rate variability readings as often as every five minutes.

That information also supports a new Readiness feature, which uses recent activity, sleep, vital signs and other data to create a score from zero to 10. The score updates as new information is collected during the day.

Battery life remains rated at up to 24 hours for normal use, and a 15-minute charge can provide up to 12 additional hours.

Apple Watch Series 12 starts at $399 and becomes available September 18.

Apple Watch Ultra 4 Extends Battery and Workout Tracking

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 includes the same new Health Sensing System and Readiness feature while adding longer battery life for outdoor and extended activities.

Apple rates the Ultra 4 for up to 50 hours of regular use and up to 84 hours in Low Power Mode. A Max Extended Workout setting can track outdoor workouts for as long as 45 hours.

Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at $799 and is also available beginning September 18.

Apple Is Also Updating Health and Fitness Features

Apple is preparing a redesigned Health app for later in 2026, with new features that use Apple Intelligence to organize and present health information.

A new Insights section will highlight changes across areas such as sleep, heart health, fitness and vital signs. A Longevity section will provide a longer-term view of health information and include Health Age, which compares measurements such as resting heart rate, sleep and fitness data with a user’s age.

Apple is also developing Movement Evaluations that use an iPhone camera and Apple Watch data to assess areas such as balance, strength and flexibility. In the U.S., users will also be able to order a $119 lab panel covering more than 50 biomarkers through Quest Diagnostics.

The redesigned Health app is expected later in 2026. Some features will depend on the device, language and region.

With the new iPhones, AirPods and Apple Watches now joining Apple’s 2026 lineup, the company’s fall releases cover updates across mobile devices, audio, wearables and health tracking. Additional Health app and Apple Intelligence features are expected later in 2026, continuing the rollout beyond the new hardware.
