Logitech has disclosed that it recently experienced a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to parts of its internal IT systems. The company says the event resulted in the exfiltration of certain data but did not affect its products, operations, or manufacturing.
In a statement, they stated they detected the intrusion and began investigating immediately with support from external cybersecurity firms.
The incident stemmed from the exploitation of a zero-day vulnerability in a third-party software platform. The attacker used the flaw to gain access and copy data before Logitech applied the vendor’s patch.
The company believes the compromised information may include limited data involving employees, consumers, customers, and suppliers. They do not believe sensitive personal information, such as national ID numbers or payment card details were stored in the affected system.
Logitech has begun notifying relevant government authorities as required.
Logitech stated that the incident is not expected to have a material impact on its financial position or ongoing business operations. All products and manufacturing systems remain fully functional, and the company reports no disruption to its global services.
For now, the breach appears contained, with no signs of broader operational impact. Logitech’s investigation is still underway and the company says it will provide additional updates if required.
