How to Set up AirPods With Mac, iPhone, Android or Other Bluetooth Device


AirPods is one of the most popular wireless earbuds with good quality available. It has great features and accessibility options such as noise cancellation, up to 20 hours of listening time from a single charge (depending on the model), sweat/water resistant and much more features for a rocking music or movie session.

Learn how to quickly set them up for use on your Mac, iPhone, or other Bluetooth-enabled device.

Set up AirPods on iPhone

If this is the first time you’re setting up AirPods on your iPhone, make sure your iPhnoe is up to date with the latest iOS version. You can check for update In the Settings app under Settings → General → Software Update.

When you’re ready to connect, go to the home screen of your phone then hold up the AirPods case with the earbuds in them to the phone. A connect screen should show up.

If “Hey Siri” has been set up, it should also work with the earbuds. otherwise, you’ll be guided through a setup screen.

Once you connect, all devices using the same Apple ID will also be able to connect to the AirPod earbuds easier.

Set up AirPods on Mac

If you have connected your AirPods to your iPhone or other iOS, they may be ready to use on your Mac or other iOS device. Your Mac must be signed into the same iCloud account and support the Handoff service.

To check, open the AirPods case, click 🔊 Volume Control on your Mac menu bar and AirPods should show up. If not, you’ll just need to set it up for your Mac.

To do this, open the case with the earbuds inside and hold the setup button on the case until its light is flashing. From the 🍎 Apple menu, choose System Preferences → Bluetooth. Find your AirPods, click then choose Connect.

Set up AirPods on other Bluetooth-enabled devices

While AirPods are primarily designed for iPhones, other devices are able to utilize them for basic earbud features.

Using your Airpods on other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as a Windows computer, Chromebook, Galaxy Tab or other device, is similar to connecting any other Bluetooth device to them. On your device, go to Settings an turn on Bluetooth.

With the AirPods case open and the earbuds inside, hold the setup button on the case until its light is flashing. Then scan for then find and click AirPods then finally choose Connect. They should now be working as normal Bluetooth earbuds
