Sony Rolls Out New Wireless Smart Noise-Canceling Earbuds

Sony has announced a new set of truly wireless earbuds as part of its flagship 1000X audio lineup. The WF-1000XM6 introduces updates to noise canceling, sound quality, and overall design.

According to Sony, the WF-1000XM6 offers improved noise reduction compared to the previous generation, particularly in everyday environments such as public transportation and busy streets. It is achieved through updated processing technology and additional microphones, allowing the earbuds to better adapt to surrounding noise and how they are worn.

Sound quality has also been refined, with Sony focusing on clearer detail and a more balanced listening experience. The earbuds support high-resolution wireless audio features and can be customized through Sony’s companion app, which allows users to adjust sound settings to their preference. This includes changes to call quality, aiming to improve voice clarity during phone calls in noisy settings. A redesigned shape is intended to make the earbuds more comfortable for long listening sessions, while the charging case has been updated for easier everyday use.

Connectivity improvements are another focus, with Sony highlighting more stable Bluetooth performance and support for newer audio standards aimed to reduce latency. Battery life remains similar to the previous model, offering all-day use with the charging case and optional wireless charging support.

They are available now in Black and Platinum Silver, with pricing set at the premium end of the wireless earbud market.
