Samsung is set to release its latest foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, in the U.S. later this week.
Launching on January 30, the device introduces a dual-fold design that opens into a 10-inch display, the largest screen Samsung has ever placed in a Galaxy phone.
Measuring 3.9 mm at its thinnest point when unfolded, the Z TriFold uses a new hinge system made from titanium to support the dual-folding mechanism. Samsung says the hinge and display structure have been tested for durability, including a 200,000-cycle folding test, intended to simulate several years of daily use.

It’s designed to combine smartphone portability with tablet-like functionality. When fully opened, the expanded display is aimed at users who prioritize multitasking, productivity, and creative workflows, while still allowing the device to fold down to a pocket-sized form.
Powering the Galaxy Z TriFold is a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy processor, a 200-megapixel rear camera and what Samsung describes as its largest battery yet in a foldable phone. The device includes 512GB of internal storage and will be offered in a single color option, Crafted Black.
Galaxy AI features are also integrated throughout the user interface. These tools are designed to assist with photo editing, content creation, multitasking, and real-time interactions. Features such as conversational AI assistance, on-screen contextual understanding, and visual recognition are supported through Gemini Live integration.
The Galaxy Z TriFold will be available through Samsung.com and Samsung Experience Stores, with a premium starting price of $2,899.
Demo units are already on display for public testing at select Samsung Experience Store locations.
