Samsung Expands Its Internet Browser to PC With a New Beta Program

Samsung Internet Expands to PC With New Beta Program

Samsung has officially launched the beta version of Samsung Internet for PC, bringing its popular mobile browser to desktop for the first time. The move aims to create a more seamless, connected browsing experience across devices and set the stage for smarter Galaxy AI-powered features.

A Connected Browsing Experience Across Devices

The new Samsung Internet for PC allows users to sync bookmarks, browsing history, and login data between their phones and computers. Using Samsung Pass, passwords and autofill information are shared securely, so signing in to websites feels effortless no matter which device you’re on.

Users can also resume browsing sessions between mobile and desktop, reducing friction when switching devices — a key part of Samsung’s goal to offer a unified experience across its Galaxy ecosystem.

When signed in with a Samsung Account, PC users will also get access to early Galaxy AI features like Browsing Assist, which can summarize and translate web pages instantly. These tools are designed to make web exploration faster, easier, and more intelligent.

Security and Privacy at the Core

Samsung is positioning its browser not just as convenient, but also as secure. Built on Galaxy’s trusted privacy architecture, Samsung Internet for PC includes:

  • Smart Anti-Tracking to block third-party tracking attempts
  • A Privacy Dashboard that shows which protections are active in real time

By extending its mobile security standards to desktop, Samsung is ensuring that users don’t have to compromise privacy for convenience.

According to the head of the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung, this release goes beyond syncing data to focus on creating a browser that anticipates user needs through ambient AI.

Samsung’s long-term goal is to evolve its browser from a passive tool into an intelligent gateway that integrates naturally with the Galaxy ecosystem while keeping personal data protected.

The Samsung Internet for PC Beta is available starting October 30, 2025, for Windows 10 (version 1809 and above) and Windows 11 users in the United States and Korea. Broader availability is expected later. Users can visit browser.samsung.com/beta
