As AI continues to transform the workforce, OpenAI has announced the launching of new programs aimed at increasing access and skills to help more people benefit from AI-driven opportunities.
Building a Talent Marketplace
OpenAI is developing a Jobs Platform to connect companies with AI-skilled talent across all levels. The platform aims to facilitate accurate matches between employers and job seekers, including local businesses and government agencies. For example, the Texas Association of Business plans to use the platform to connect employers with AI-capable workers.
To ensure employers can trust candidates’ AI proficiency, they are also expanding its free online learning platform, OpenAI Academy, with certifications at multiple levels—from basic AI usage to advanced prompt engineering. Learners will be able to prepare for these certifications directly within ChatGPT’s Study mode. The goal is to certify millions by 2030, with major partners supporting this effort.
Aligning Training with Market Needs
OpenAI emphasizes designing training programs that meet employer demands and foster real skill development. The company aims to make upskilling accessible and effective, helping workers transition into new roles and industries.
OpenAI continues to work with organizations across sectors to facilitate a more equitable AI-driven economy, helping more individuals develop the skills needed for the jobs of the future.
These initiatives support national efforts to expand AI literacy, ensuring that economic benefits are inclusive and accessible to a broad population.
