Microsoft has officially stated that support for Windows 11 SE (Special Edition, it’s Education-first Windows version) will end late next year.
The company announced that it will not release any further feature updates beyond version 24H2. Support for Windows 11 SE—including security updates, technical assistance, and software updates—will cease in October 2026.
Devices running Windows 11 SE will continue to function after support ends, but users are advised to transition to a device with a different edition of Windows 11 to maintain security and receive ongoing updates.
