Intel has announced its new Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus, introducing updated desktop chips aimed at gamers, creators, and PC enthusiasts.
The lineup includes the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus, and Intel Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus, which bring higher core counts, faster memory support, and new optimization technology designed to improve gaming and creative workloads. Intel says the new lineup includes some of its fastest desktop gaming processors to date.
Performance and Platform Improvements
The new processors add additional efficiency cores compared to earlier models and feature faster communication between internal chip components, which Intel says can help reduce latency and improve overall system responsiveness.
Intel also introduced a new Binary Optimization Tool, designed to improve performance in certain games by optimizing how processor instructions are handled, even when software was originally tuned for older architectures.
The chips support DDR5 memory speeds up to 7200 MT/s and remain compatible with existing 800-series chipset motherboards, giving current users an upgrade path without needing an entirely new platform.
Intel says the new processors will become available through retail partners beginning March 26, 2026.
Suggested starting prices are $299 for the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, $199 for the Core Ultra 5 250K Plus, and $199 for the Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus. Additional systems from OEM partners are expected to launch around the same time.
