HP announced two major additions to its commercial lineup at CES 2026, introducing the HP EliteBoard G1a Next Gen AI PC, which places a full AI-capable computer inside a keyboard, and the HP Series 7 Pro 4K Monitor, designed for professionals who need high color accuracy and advanced display performance. HP says both products aim to support the changing nature of hybrid and mobile work.
EliteBoard G1a – A desktop in keyboard form factor
The EliteBoard G1a is designed as an alternative to traditional tower or notebook PCs. All core computing components are built directly into an ultra-thin keyboard that weighs about 750 grams. Users can connect it to nearly any display to create a workstation in offices, co-working spaces, or home environments.
The device is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processor and delivers more than 50 TOPS of NPU performance for on-device AI workloads. HP positions it for tasks such as AI-assisted productivity software, creative tools, and secure local inference without relying solely on cloud processing.
Adaptive performance features such as HP Smart Sense and AMD Auto State Management help adjust cooling and power behavior based on workload. An optional built-in battery offers additional flexibility for temporary untethered use. Integrated microphones and speakers are built into the keyboard chassis to keep external peripherals to a minimum.
Security is a central feature with HP Wolf Security for Business, which extends hardware-based protection to firmware and endpoint layers. The company highlighted protection for AI workflows and preparation for emerging post-quantum security risks, a growing topic in enterprise environments.
The system also supports physical security through a tethered locking cable option.
Series 7 Pro 4K Monitor – Visual performance for professionals
Also introduced is the Series 7 Pro 4K Monitor. It uses Neo:LED technology to enhance the screen’s backlight for brighter, clearer images, and IPS Black panel performance to create deeper blacks, improving contrast and color accuracy.
The monitor arrives factory-calibrated for professional workflows and allows users to create custom color profiles. Thunderbolt 4 connectivity with up to 140W power delivery supports high-speed data, video, and single-cable operation for compatible laptops and PCs.
Designed for changing work environments
HP says its recent research shows many employees feel their current technology no longer fits their working style, and aims to target modular desks, multi-screen setups, and mobile work behaviors rather than static office environments.
The EliteBoard aims to simplify that shift by shrinking the PC footprint, while the Series 7 Pro monitor expands the available visual workspace.
Both products are expected to be available in March 2026 on the HP.com website, with pricing details being announced closer to launch.
