Gemini and Google Classroom Get New AI Updates & Tools to Transform Learning

At BETT 2026, the annual global education technology conference, Google unveiled major updates to Gemini AI and Google Classroom, designed to help educators save time and give students more personalized learning opportunities.

Gemini for Education now offers free, full-length practice SATs, developed with leading educational partners like The Princeton Review. Gemini also integrates with Google Classroom to draft assignments, summarize student progress, and provide insights based on class context, streamlining teachers’ workflows. Advanced AI models (Gemini 3 Pro, Flash, and Nano Banana Pro) provide enhanced reasoning, visualization, and content-creation capabilities.

With its integration with NotebookLM, teachers and students can generate documents, presentations, infographics, and videos that are informed by content they’ve added to NotebookLM, helping ensure outputs align with trusted information sources.

Google Classroom receives a redesigned actionable dashboard delivering student engagement metrics for leaders, class insights for teachers, and upcoming deadlines for students. Educators can now attach audio, video, and screen recordings to assignments, track learning standards across multiple countries, and collaborate more seamlessly with Gemini to create lessons, rubrics, and feedback.

These updates aim to make AI a practical classroom tool, helping teachers save time, enhance learning, and bring lessons to life. Read more on Google’s official blog here.
