Apple has officially introduced its latest lineup of products, headlined by the iPhone 17 series. The announcement also included updated versions of the AirPods Pro and Apple Watch, each featuring meaningful upgrades in design, performance, and functionality.
iPhone 17 Series – Power, Precision, and a New Design
The iPhone 17 lineup includes the base iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and the all-new iPhone Air — a thinner, lighter addition designed with portability in mind.
All models feature a larger 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology, offering smoother scrolling and more responsive touch interactions. At the heart of each device is Apple’s new A19 chip, delivering faster performance and improved energy efficiency. The iPhone 17 is rated for up to 30 hours of video playback.
A standout feature this year is the upgraded 18MP Center Stage front camera, the first with a square sensor on iPhone, designed to keep users perfectly framed during video calls, even in portrait orientation. The rear camera system across the lineup uses 48MP sensors, with support for 4K HDR recording and spatial audio for a more immersive experience.
On the higher-end models, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max introduce a new design built from lightweight aerospace-grade aluminum. They also feature vapor chamber cooling for improved thermal efficiency, with the Pro Max offering up to 39 hours of battery life. The Pro camera system includes an advanced eight-lens array with up to 8x optical zoom, tailored for photography professionals and content creators.
The new iPhone Air, Apple’s thinnest phone ever at just 5.6mm, features a titanium frame and the powerful A19 Pro chip along with the pro-grade camera capabilities.
Apple Watch – Smarter & Health-Focused
Apple also introduced updates to its smartwatch family with three new models, each targeting different user needs:
Apple Watch SE 3 includes improved health tracking features such as sleep scoring, ovulation estimates, and sleep apnea detection. Powered by the new S10 chip, it supports fast charging and 5G connectivity, with an always-on display and strengthened glass for added durability.
Apple Watch Ultra 3, built for athletes and explorers, now features Apple’s largest display ever on a watch and up to 42 hours of battery life. It introduces new health features like hypertension notifications, and supports emergency SOS via satellite — a crucial addition for those venturing off-grid.
Apple Watch Series 11 focuses on expanded health metrics and integration with Apple’s ecosystem. While full details are still being finalized, it is expected to include incremental performance and sensor improvements.
AirPods Pro 3 – More Comfortable Listening Experience
The third-generation AirPods Pro come with a redesigned fit for improved comfort and stability, along Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
A new heart rate sensor allows users to track over 50 workout types through the Fitness app, bringing health data into the audio experience.
Live Translation is another standout feature, enabling real-time language translation directly through the earbuds. With up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge (with ANC enabled), improved water resistance (IP57), and enhanced acoustic design, AirPods Pro 3 are built for both daily use and active lifestyles.
Apple continues to advance its environmental goals. All new devices incorporate recycled materials, including aluminum, cobalt, and titanium. Packaging is now fully fiber-based, aligning with Apple’s goal to be carbon neutral across its entire product line by 2030.
Pre-orders for all new products begin later later this week on September 12, with general availability starting September 19, in over 60 countries.
