Several months ago, Apple made a new release within their iPhone lineup. The iPhone 16 (which includes the base model, Plus, Pro & Pro Max models) was released last year on September. It boats the latest A18 chip for blazing performance, better, a slightly bigger battery, and the latest Apple Intelligence features, amongst other advanced features.
The iPhone 16e is the new member of the lineup, the budget-friendly small edition, similar to the old iPhone SE (the discounted, smaller classic version of the iPhones). And packed with most features and specifications.

While the regular models are powerhouses, their price point may not be as friendly, starting at $799 for the iPhone 16 regular model, to $1699 for the Pro Max with the highest storage capacity, 1TB).
For the average user, or a recent buyer still using an iPhone 15, or even the 14, it might not be seen as worth the upgrade for access to some of the latest features like AI, faster charging, or the latest processor.
Budget Pricing
iPhone 16e is set to start at $599 in either black or white and with storage options for 128GB, 256GB or 512GB. It’s powered by the same latest iOS 18 and A18 processor chip in other models, with a similar 4K 48MP camera for glamorous shots. Apple Intelligence features are included too, so productivity and creativity is defined.
It’s release date for pre-orders is set for tomorrow, Friday, 2/21, with official public release beginning on the following week, Friday 2/28.
